Intro

We are very impressed by a new book recently published called Skinny Bitch. It gives real ideas on getting fit and slim.

This page is for us to keep track of the do's and dont's from the book since one tends to forget lots of this stuff.

Remember that this is not absolute - we don't have to be perfect - but this should be the norm.

Organic

Buy organic whenever possible. Think hard as to whether it is worth it if it is not organic.

Soda

No soda at all. Not even diet.

Alternatives:

  • Water
  • Iced Tea (decaf)
  • Juice

Sugar

No processed sugar. No artificial sweeteners. No, not even Splenda or Nutrasweet.

Alternatives:

  • evaporated cane juice
  • brown rice syrup
  • molasses
  • raw sugar
  • beet sugar
  • maple syrup
  • ...

Processed Grains

No:

  • white flower (or anything that contains such)
  • white rice

Alternatives

  • Whole Grains
  • Brown Rice
  • Whole grain pasta and bread

Fruit

Eat lots! Aids in digestion.

Even better, eat only fruit for breakfast. Its much more effective when there's less food ahead of it.

Meat and Dairy

Meat is slow to breakdown in the system and contains growth hormones (among others).

Dairy is not optimal for mammals over 4 years old!

There are many soy alternatives to both.
